According to the Sash Factor rankings, the Venezuelan contestant is the current favourite to win the crown, followed by representatives from Thailand, Côte d’Ivoire, Colombia, and Chile.
In addition, the world-renowned pageant publication Missosology named Huong Giang among its fourth hot picks within the leading 30 contestants of Miss Universe 2025, predicting her to place 11th. The Thai contestant tops Missosology’s list as the favourite to win, with the Mexican and Filipino representatives expected to claim first and second runner-up positions, followed by contestants from Venezuela and Côte d’Ivoire.

The 74th edition of Miss Universe will be held in Thailand from November 2 to 21.
Huong Giang, born in 1991 in Hanoi as Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, underwent gender reassignment surgery in Thailand in 2011. She rose to national attention in 2012 after reaching the Top 4 of Vietnam Idol, earning the nickname Huong Giang Idol. In 2018, she won the Miss International Queen title, an international beauty pageant for transgender women, also held in Thailand.
Beyond her work as a singer and actress, Huong Giang has served as a producer and judge on various reality television shows in Vietnam and was the executive producer of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024.
