This will be Vietnam Airlines’ first direct route connecting Vietnam with the popular coastal city of Cebu, marking a new step in the carrier’s strategy to expand its Southeast Asian network.
The new service will cut travel time from the usual 6-8 hours with connecting flights to about 3 hours on a nonstop route. It will also offer more travel options for Vietnamese passengers while enhancing air connectivity between Vietnam and other ASEAN member states, thereby promoting tourism, trade and cultural exchanges across the region.
The Hanoi-Cebu route is expected to maintain a steady two-way passenger flow, including tourists and business travelers from the Philippines to Vietnam, as well as Vietnamese passengers visiting Cebu and other destinations in the Philippines for tourism, study or work.
To mark the launch, Vietnam Airlines is offering promotional round-trip fares starting at VND 5.6 million (economy class) and VND 24.4 million (business class), inclusive of taxes and fees. The offer applies to tickets purchased before February 28, 2026, for departures between December 1, 2025, and February 28, 2026.
Currently, the carrier operates nine regular weekly flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Manila. With the addition of three weekly Hanoi-Cebu flights, Vietnam Airlines will raise its total number of flights between Vietnam and the Philippines to 12 per week.
