The vessels, Westerdam registered in the Netherlands, and Star Voyager registered in the Bahamas, docked in the port on the same morning.

After arrival, Westerdam passengers travelled to major attractions including Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu, and a Ha Long city tour. Some continued to Hanoi and Haiphong to explore cultural and historical landmarks of the northern delta.

Star Voyager docked later and, after completing entry procedures, its passengers set out to visit well-known destinations across Vietnam.

Westerdam and Star Voyager are both considered regular visitors to Ha Long International Cruise Port.

In 2025, Star Voyager is making its fourth call, while Westerdam marks its first arrival of the year after two visits in 2024. The repeated selection of Ha Long by major international cruise lines underscores the rising appeal of the heritage city as a premium marine tourism destination.

By end-October 2025, Ha Long International Cruise Port had welcomed 44 international cruise calls with a total of 56,647 passengers, up nine per cent year-on-year. Travellers mainly came from Europe, the United States, and China, reflecting a strong rebound in the luxury tourism segment.

The cruise high season runs from October to April, when travellers enjoy multi-day itineraries across numerous destinations.

With a strategic location and modern infrastructure, Ha Long International Cruise Port has become one of the most preferred stops for leading global cruise operators.

In November alone, the port is expected to receive 10 international ships. By year-end, total calls are projected to reach 23, carrying around 32,000 visitors and raising total international cruise arrivals in 2025 to nearly 90,000.

Since its opening in 2018, Ha Long International Cruise Port has handled 209 luxury cruise calls and nearly 280,000 international passengers, helping to elevate Vietnam’s position on the global cruise map.
