The launch ceremony for the coastal sailing tour in Ha Long Bay is scheduled for the same day, following the completion of preparations and regulatory procedures.
According to the operator, all conditions for service have been finalised. In the early stage, tours will be free for both residents and tourists. However, with only three boats available, each carrying up to 12 passengers per trip, waiting times are expected.

The vessels are traditional “three compartment sailboats”, a distinctive design from Quang Ninh, known for their ability to sail even against the wind. The three boats are part of a wider project to build 10 such vessels for tourism.
The coastal route spans about 12km, starting from the passenger water transport pier near Ha Long 1 market in Hong Gai Ward, passing Cot 5 Beach before returning to the departure point.
Each day will feature six trips, lasting around one hour each, departing at 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm.
Each boat will carry a maximum of 12 passengers and two crew members to ensure safety and service quality.
The operator expects the new offering to diversify tourism services in Ha Long, provide visitors with more options and encourage longer stays.
Under the plan, the company will prioritise hiring local workers, helping them transition from near shore fishing to tourism services. Crew members will wear traditional attire, including brown garments, five panel tunics and palm leaf hats.
