According to a company representative, the decision reflects a change in the airline’s business direction, bringing an end to one of Vietnam’s most distinctive tourism experiences.

The seaplane sightseeing service, launched in 2014, offered 25-minute aerial tours over the UNESCO-listed bay. Ticket prices started at about VND 1.6 million (USD 61) for Vietnamese passengers and around VND 2 million (USD 76) for international visitors.
Each aircraft could carry up to 12 passengers and two pilots, flying at altitudes of roughly 500 to 3,000 metres, allowing visitors to view the limestone islands and seascape of the bay from above.
In 2023, Quang Ninh Province also halted helicopter sightseeing flights over Ha Long Bay.
