At a press briefing on December 25, the provincial department of culture, sports and tourism announced the countdown programme themed “Discipline and unity-shaping the future”.
Online registration for free tickets will open at 7 pm on December 26 via quangninh.dangkyve.com and will close once the quota is filled.
Successful applicants will receive a QR code, which must be presented to collect a printed ticket from 9 am on December 29 to 10 pm on December 30 at the Quang Ninh Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace on Tran Quoc Nghien Street. Attendees must show the QR code along with a valid citizen identity card, either physical or digital.
The 180-minute countdown show is scheduled to begin at 9.30 pm on December 31 at 30/10 Square and is expected to attract nearly 50,000 people. The event will be broadcast live on channels operated by Quang Ninh Media Group.
The programme is being held to mark the 14th national party congress and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s first general election to the National Assembly, while promoting Quang Ninh’s image and boosting tourism at the start of 2026.
