Quang Ninh hosts first-ever Mid-Autumn parade

The northern province of Quang Ninh held on Saturday its largest-ever lantern car parade and a spectacular fireworks show to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.

The parade ran along Hoang Quoc Viet Street, passing Sun Carnival Square, Fireworks Bay, and Sun Elite City in Bai Chay Ward.

A giant lantern parade illuminated Hoang Quoc Viet and Ky Quan streets on its way to Sun Carnival Square, featuring modern, illuminated renditions of Mid-Autumn icons, including carp, unicorns, dragons, phoenixes, rotating lanterns, and lotus flowers.

Elaborately decorated electric buggies fitted with dazzling lights and sound systems formed a radiant procession, accompanied by festive drumbeats and a spectacle of glowing models.

The event blended visual art, folk culture, and carnival spirit, showing an unprecedented Mid-Autumn celebration in Quang Ninh.

Another highlight of the night was a grand artistic fireworks display. When the parade concludes, the sky over Bai Chay erupted in brilliant bursts of high-altitude fireworks.

For the first time, Mid-Autumn in Quang Ninh went beyond lantern processions and festive gatherings, transforming into a true feast of light where every sense is awakened.

This special event not only marked a highlight of the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival but also reinforced Bai Chay’s role as the cultural and tourism hub of Quang Ninh.
