
Clusters of delicate pink blossoms have been blooming along major streets including Dien Bien Phu, Ham Nghi, Vo Van Kiet, To Huu and Nguyen Tat Thanh, adding a soft hue to the cityscape.

Pink trumpet flowers grow in clusters of 10-20 blooms, starting pale pink and gradually deepening in colour. Their shape resembles small bells.

Pink trumpet trees were first planted on a trial basis along several central Ho Chi Minh City streets in 2009 and are often dubbed the city’s southern cherry blossoms.

Many streets in Ho Chi Minh City have been lined with vibrant pink trumpet blossoms.

A stretch of Ham Nghi Street in Saigon Ward is lined with pink trumpet tree canopies, creating a romantic scene.

Pink trumpet blossoms bloom near the Bitexco Financial Tower, a landmark of Ho Chi Minh City.

Dinh Thi Hong Ha from An Khanh Ward said she had seen many photos of the pink trumpet blossoms on social media and came to admire and photograph them, adding that the flowers reminded her of Japan.

Though only recently introduced, pink trumpet trees have become a seasonal highlight in Ho Chi Minh City, eagerly awaited by many young residents each blooming season.
