According to leaders of Lien Khuong International Airport, located in Duc Trong Commune, Lam Dong Province, the National Day holiday would mark a peak travel period, with passenger numbers expected to rise by 20-30 per cent compared with the first week after the airport resumed operations.
The period from August 28 to September 3 has been identified as the peak travel window, with heavy passenger traffic to and from Lien Khuong Airport. The airport is forecast to handle about 36-40 flights a day and serve around 7,000-8,500 passengers during those days.

According to airport leaders, during the National Day holiday, the airport has instructed relevant departments to maintain round-the-clock staffing and proactively prepare backup vehicles, equipment and supplies to deal with any incidents that may arise.
Lien Khuong Airport reopened on August 19 after being closed for five months for runway repairs. According to official figures, from August 19 to 26, the airport handled hundreds of take-offs and landings, served nearly 39,000 passengers and transported 76 tonnes of cargo.
The on-time departure rate reached 100 per cent, with no safety-threatening incidents recorded.
