Phong Nha-Ke Bang halts access to key sites as storm looms

The Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Centre in the central province of Quang Binh temporarily suspended visitor access to several tourist sites on June 13 due to the impact of Storm Wutip.

Specifically, tours to Phong Nha, Tien Son Caves, Mooc Spring, and Chay River-Dark Cave have been temporarily suspended to ensure visitor safety. These are among the most popular attractions in the area, drawing thousands of tourists daily during peak season.

However, dining services in the area remain available. Son Doong Restaurant at Phong Nha Wharf, Dark Cave Restaurant, and Mooc Spring Restaurant operate as usual.

Many areas in Quang Binh have been severely inundated because of torrential rains. Around 18,770 hectares of rice and crops have been flooded, and two people in the locality have gone missing.
