Pham Duy Phong, Deputy Director of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, stated that to ensure the absolute safety of tourists, the department has instructed all local tourist sites to suspend inland waterway services starting from 1 pm on July 21 until further notice.
Tourist site management boards are instructed to promptly inform visitors and tour operators about safe travel options, and to collaborate with relevant agencies to enforce safety measures at docking areas.
Waterway operators must secure vessels in safe locations, ensure all safety equipment is in good working order, and be prepared to support rescue efforts if required.
Ninh Binh is home to the Trang An Ecotourism Complex, Tam Coc, Tam Chuc, Thung Nham, Thung Nang, Kenh Ga, and Van Long that offer inland waterway transport.
