
Mongolian tourists visit Nha Trang in December 2025
From December 26, 2025, Mongolia’s Hunnu Air will operate weekly charter flights on the Ulaanbaatar, Cam Ranh route using narrow body aircraft, with services scheduled until the end of January 2026. Earlier, from December 15, 2025, Vietjet Air launched flights on the same route, bringing Mongolian tourists to Cam Ranh during the winter peak.
Tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia has expanded in recent years through stronger promotion, new direct air links and more diversified travel products. Destinations such as Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have attracted growing interest from Mongolian travelers, supported by airlines including MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Hunnu Air, Aero Mongolia and Vietjet Air.
From January 17, 2026, Air Cambodia is expected to open a direct route between Phnom Penh and Cam Ranh, operating two flights per week. The airline also plans to launch a Siem Reap, Cam Ranh route from mid 2026.
At a recent working session with the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, Air Cambodia representatives highlighted cooperation potential with the province, citing geographical proximity and cultural similarities. In addition to attracting Cambodian visitors, the airline aims to draw travelers from markets such as the Republic of Korea and Russia via Cam Ranh International Airport.
The two sides discussed a cooperation agreement, famtrip programmes to survey tourism products in Cambodia, and preparations for welcoming the first Phnom Penh, Khanh Hoa flight.
Air Cambodia currently operates services linking Cambodia with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang. It is also set to expand with new routes from Phnom Penh to Danang from January 15, 2026, and to Phu Quoc from January 16, 2026.
