The city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said tourist arrivals during the holiday are projected to increase by more than 15 per cent from the same period in 2025.
Average accommodation occupancy citywide is estimated at 60-65 per cent with four- and five-star hotels expected to reach 75-80 per cent.
Between April 25 and May 3, a total of 1,460 inbound flights are scheduled to arrive in the city, up 11 per cent year on year, averaging around 162 flights per day.

On April 29, the cruise ship Star Voyager docked at Tien Sa Port with about 1,500 passengers and more than 1,000 crew, who are expected to visit attractions including the Marble Mountains, Son Tra Peninsula, Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary.
Online travel platforms also reported strong interest in Danang, with Booking.com ranking it the most searched domestic destination by Vietnamese travellers in April and Agoda placing it among the top searched holiday accommodation destinations.
To meet rising demand, Danang has launched a series of cultural and tourism events, including its 2026 Beach Tourism Season programme running from April 25 to May 3.
The programme features food festivals, water sports performances, kite displays, nightly music shows and sporting competitions.
Danang is also hosting its inaugural Ao Dai Festival 2026, aimed at promoting traditional Vietnamese culture and diversifying tourism offerings.
Another major event series, titled Peaceful Fatherland, will run from April 29 to May 2, featuring a gala night on the Han River with light shows, fireworks and contemporary performances.
Regular attractions such as Dragon Bridge’s fire and water displays, Han River Bridge rotations, riverside art performances, pedestrian streets and tourist boat services will continue throughout the holiday.
