Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum temporarily closed for maintenance

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum will be shut to visitors for nearly two months for regular maintenance.

According to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command, public visits to the mausoleum will be suspended from June 2 to July 31 this year.

Public visits to Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum will officially resume on August 2.

President Ho Chi Minh passed away on September 2, 1969. His body was embalmed and placed in a glass coffin inside the granite mausoleum.

The mausoleum has become an important landmark of the capital city and is integral to Vietnam's political and social history.
