The traffic restrictions will apply from 7 am to 12 pm on August 8; and 6.30 am to 12 pm on August 9 and 10

During these times, trucks carrying over 500kg of goods, passenger vehicles with more than 16 seats (except for buses, sanitation vehicles, emergency and security vehicles), and most private cars and motorbikes will be restricted from additional streets including Ngo Quyen, Ly Thai To, Tran Nguyen Han, Nguyen Huu Huan, Le Lai, Ba Trieu, Hang Bai, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Pho Hue, Hang Bong, Hang Gai, Hang Trong, Nha Tho, Nha Chung, and Quang Trung.

Hanoi Police will guide alternative routes as follows:

Vehicles from eastern and northeastern areas (Gia Lam, Long Bien, Phuc Loi, Viet Hung) heading west or northwest (Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Tu Liem, O Dien) should use Nhat Tan, Long Bien, Vinh Tuy or Thanh Tri bridges via Dyke 401, Tran Nhat Duat, Yen Phu, Thanh Nien, Vo Chi Cong, and Ring Roads 2 and 3.

Vehicles from the northern districts (Tay Ho, Dong Anh) travelling south (Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri) should use Nhat Tan or Thang Long bridges via Vo Chi Cong, Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, and the Ring Roads.

These restrictions are part of preparations for Vietnam’s 80th National Day military parade on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square. The event will feature 43 marching units, 18 stationary formations, and 14 motorised military convoys, with nearly 16,000 participants from military and police forces, including air and naval units.
