The North-South route will continue to run six regular Thong Nhat SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8, SE9/10, and SE11/12 pairs of trains.
On the Hanoi-Danang route, besides the regular SE19/20 service, the SE17 and SE18 services will be added on August 29 and September 1 respectively.
On the Hanoi-Vinh route, in addition to the routine NA1/2 service, five more trains will be run, consisting of the NA3 on August 29-30, NA4 on August 31-September 1, and NA8 on September 2.
The Hanoi-Thanh Hoa route will see eight extra services, with trains TH1/TH2 running from August 30 to September 2.
The QB1 and QB2 services will be provided on the Hanoi-Dong Hoi route on August 29 and September 1 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Hanoi-Haiphong route, apart from its four scheduled pairs, is set to run four more trains.
More trains will also operate on the Saigon-Quy Nhon; Saigon-Nha Trang; Saigon-Phat Thiet; Hanoi-Lao Cai; Hue-Danang and Saigon-Danang between August 28 and September 2.
With road closures in Hanoi for the 80th National Day celebrations, Vietnam Railways has advised passengers to arrive at Hanoi Station at least 60 minutes before departure. An extra entrance at Gate 1, Tran Quy Cap Street, will be opened to ease access.
Passengers are urged to plan ahead, avoid restricted zones, and follow traffic updates to reach stations early and prevent delays. Road closures will apply from 11.30 am-3 am on August 21-22; 3 pm-3 am on August 24-25 and 27-28; and 6 pm-3 pm on August 29-30 and September 1-2.
Vietnam’s National Day holiday, the final holiday of 2025, will last four days, from August 30 to September 2.
