Under a newly issued tourism management plan for the 2026 peak season, the locality aims to attract 4.9 million visitors this year.
Local authorities said inspections would be strengthened at tourist sites, beaches, restaurants and accommodation facilities to ensure public security, food safety, environmental hygiene and traffic order.

They also pledged firm action against touting, price gouging and other behaviour seen as damaging to the image of the local tourism industry.
Alongside tourism management measures, Do Son plans to accelerate infrastructure upgrades and tourism development projects, including road expansions, urban beautification works and improvements to lighting and public spaces.
The locality will continue promoting beach tourism, eco-tourism, spiritual tourism and regional tourism links, while hosting major cultural and tourism events such as the traditional Do Son buffalo fighting festival, culinary festivals and art performances.
The goal is aimed to build a tourism environment that is safe, civilised, friendly and attractive while strengthening Do Son’s position as one of northern Vietnam’s leading coastal destinations.
