A corner of Phu Quoc International Airport
The Indian market has long been a key source of visitors for both Phu Quoc and Vietnam’s tourism industry as a whole. Vietjet Air previously operated direct flights from India to Phu Quoc, which were suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic and only partially resumed in 2022.
Currently, most Indian visitors reach Phu Quoc via connecting flights through Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. From December 9, direct charter flights from New Delhi to Phu Quoc (DEL-PQC) will give Indian tourists easier access to the island during its peak season. The five-hour direct flight significantly reduces travel time compared with connecting flights.
MakeMyTrip representative Jasmeet Singh said that Indian tourists are currently looking for destinations that offer unique experiences, value, and easy access. Phu Quoc meets this requirement and has become a key destination in our Vietnam tour packages. However, it has remained relatively underexplored due to limited direct air connectivity. MakeMyTrip is making this stunning island more accessible for Indian tourists planning their winter holidays abroad.
The cooperation between Air India Express and MakeMyTrip offers customized Phu Quoc tour packages that blend convenience, value, and unforgettable experiences.
The five-day, four-night itinerary allows Indian tourists to enjoy a variety of attractions, including the Hon Thom cable car, VinWonders amusement park, a wildlife conservation park, and the island’s renowned pearl farms.
