One of Da Nang’s most beautiful stretches of coastline will see two of its roads receive the names of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
Putting up the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa street signs has begun
Both are islands of Vietnam and their names will be given to two roads running along the Son Tra - Dien Ngoc coastline, home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.
Hoang Sa (Paracel islands) road will run from the Son Tra Peninsula to Nguyen Cong Tru Road and is 15.5 kilometres in length.
Truong Sa (Spratly islands) road will run from Nguyen Cong Tru Road to the boundary between Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province and is 11.26 kilometres in length.
According to the decision handed down by the People’s Council of Da Nang, the city’s Department of Transport will install 47 street name signs along Hoang Sa and Truong Sa roads.
The installations are expected to be complete before August 31, 2010.
To Dinh Trung, Manager of Urban Transport Management Division under Da Nang’s Department of Transport said, “Installing Hoang Sa and Truong Sa name signs is not just our duty but also our honour and our pride. The two roads will be positioned on the most beautiful coastline of Da Nang.”
