After disembarking, tourists joined guided tours organised by travel companies to key sites including Long Son Pagoda, Po Nagar Cham Towers, the Stone Church, Dam Market, Skylight Bar and the Tram Huong Tower and square area.
The Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said Costa Serena was the first international cruise ship to enter Nha Trang port this year.
According to cruise schedules, the province is expected to welcome eight more cruise ships carrying about 13,500 passengers in the first two months of the year. Officials described this as a positive signal for the recovery and growth of cruise tourism, contributing to the wider expansion of Khanh Hoa’s tourism industry.
The department also reported that during the four-day 2026 New Year holiday, the province received more than 500,000 tourists.
Average hotel occupancy reached about 67 per cent, with visitor numbers concentrated mainly in the northern part of the province, while southern areas recorded lower arrivals.
