Beach and island destinations across Quang Ninh Province are entering the early summer tourism peak, with bookings for accommodation, bay tours, overnight cruises and resort packages rising sharply for the April 30-May 3 holiday.
Demand for luxury cruises and overnight voyages in Halong Bay has increased markedly this year, with operators reporting strong bookings from families, small groups and international travellers.

Several major cruise operators reported high occupancy, with Heritage Binh Chuan fully booked, Emperor Cruises at around 80 per cent capacity and Ambassador Cruises nearing full occupancy during the holiday period.
Day cruises and dinner cruises on the bay are also seeing strong demand.
A new route linking Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay, launched earlier this month, has further boosted the market by allowing inter-bay cruise itineraries.
According to the Halong-Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board, the route is expected to bring an additional 5,000 to 6,000 visitors and more than 50 overnight cruise vessels daily from Lan Ha Bay to Halong.
Meanwhile, accommodation on Co To Island is nearly fully booked for the holiday, with room occupancy expected to reach 100 per cent and capacity estimated at 12,500 to 13,000 visitors.
Authorities said the island has added around 300 rooms this year and prepared 42 vessels to serve passenger routes linking Co To with the mainland and nearby islands.
Visitors are advised to book through reputable providers and verify room, ferry and pricing details carefully amid peak-season demand.
Halong Bay is forecast to remain one of Quang Ninh’s busiest destinations during the holiday, with visitor numbers averaging around 10,000 per day and expected to rise further on peak dates.
Quang Ninh has stepped up safety inspections at Halong International Cruise Port, focusing on vessel certification, passenger numbers, lifesaving equipment and compliance with registered routes.
