The Southwest Hanoi Urban Area Park Project, which covers an area of 112,410 square metres in Trung Hoa and Yen Hoa wards in Cau Giay District, was initially scheduled to be operational in 2016.
It was expected to offer recreational activities combined with sports activities to serve the community. However, since then, it has been left idle.
A cemetery with hundreds of graves has not yet been relocated.
The project is surrounded by a metal fence which is 2-3 metres high.
Following the approval of the project's detailed planning adjustment in June last year, the project was resumed by the end of the year. But just a short time later, it was suspended again.
VNT Company Limited, the project investor, has been requested to report the project's situation to local authorities.
