Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha, Editor-in-Chief of Dantri/Dtinews Pham Tuan Anh, and Secretary of Cau Giay District Party Committee Tran Thi Phuong Hoa came to visit and present 800 gifts to low-income families in the area on September 19.

The 800 gifts which have a total value of VND 450 million (USD 19,565) include some essential foods including rice, eggs, canned fish, cooking oil, fish sauce, and vegetables.

Speaking at the event, Editor-in-Chief of Dantri/Dtinews Pham Tuan Anh said that the Stay Strong Vietnam Charity Programme launched by the newspaper has received lots of support from readers and firms throughout the country.

Secretary of Cau Giay District Party Committee Tran Thi Phuong Hoa said, "We are very happy to see the poor labours who lost jobs during the pandemic were given the gifts. These gifts are very meaningful during this time."

Dantri has recently launched several charity programs to call for support from organisations and individuals to give medical equipment, food, and other essential goods to hospitals and low-income people in many localities including HCM City, Can Tho, and Hanoi.
