Cua Lo beaches attract many tourists

The Cua Hoi entertainment area and Dao Ngu Island cable car projects were started by the Cua Lo Commune People's Committee at an estimated VND5trn (USD216m) of investment.

The projects will cover 195.5 hectares in Nghi Hoa and Nghi Hai wards. Tourists will be able to go to the beach on Dao Ngu Island or visit 13th century Song Ngu Pagoda. Restaurants will also be built on the island.

The cable car project that connects the mainland with Dao Ngu will be 3.5 km long. The entertainment area will have a water park, night market and amusement park for a resort, entertainment complex like Vinpearl Nha Trang.

Doan Tien Dung, chairman of Cua Lo People's Committee, said the draft plan had been submitted to the provincial authorities. Their idea has been approved.

Several major firms have arrived to survey the site. According to Dung, the project will have open bidding to find the best contractors. Nghe An authorities will select the most suitable contractor and grant the investment license. It is hoped that the construction will be started in October.
