According to Nguyen Duy Anh, 68, the establishment's owner, the shop resumed operations on February 3, opening from 6.30 am to 9 pm.

The shop has upgraded the entire processing area after being fined by local authorities, Anh said.
The shop also arranged two separate entrances and exits for the processing area, helping to avoid cross-contamination between raw materials, finished products, and staff and thereby minimsing the risk of cross-contamination.
The repair was finished 10 days before the Tet Lunar New Year. After being approved by the inter-agency delegation from Hanoi and Ba Dinh District, the shop was allowed to reopen.
Anh admitted that the closure during Tet caused significant losses for the business.
On January 2, Nguyen Ninh's green rice cake facility was found to have numerous food safety violations. For instance, the cake production area was converted from the family's kitchen, which has significantly deteriorated. The floor was peeling and damp, with exposed drains and accumulated waste.
