The project, estimated to cost VND5.40 trillion, starts at Road 651 in Van Tho Commune and ends at Van Luong Commune in Van Ninh District.

The road will connect with another coastal project spanning 20 kilometres from Van Ninh District to Ninh Hoa Town, with a total investment of VND2.03 trillion. The whole coastal route is expected to help boost socio-economic development in the province.

The Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has asked the local Department of Planning and Investment to co-operate with concerned departments and agencies to study the proposal and report to the committee before October 20.

Spanning 150,000 hectares, Van Phong is one of three key economic zones in Khanh Hoa and is divided into 19 sub-areas, including a maritime port, logistics, urban area, and hospitality services.
