During a latest inspection by the Danang Tourism Department, the four-star Code & Spa Hotel didn't have a souvenir shop, and its sauna and massage room had all been closed.

Some of the hotel's employees including managers, head of departments and their staff members failed to have the required qualifications.

The department has issued a fine of VND30 million against the hotel for the violations. Their rank was also removed.

Following the department's inspection, the Sbay Hotel in Son Tra District was also fined VND30 million for failing to show legitimate documents relating to security, environmental protection, food safety, and fire safety.

Sbay has also been suspended for seven and a half months for operating without having the required permits.

The department has asked local authorities to closely monitor these two facilities to ensure they meet all required regulations before operating again.
