An announcement from the Danang Department of Education and Training said that all schools in the city would be closed from the afternoon of September 18 till the end of September 19 to ensure safety.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Danang is among localities in the central region of Vietnam that have been warned of the affects of a tropical depression which would become a storm in the East Sea today.

Danang would face heavy rain which would cause flash floods from September 18 until September 20.

The central region of Vietnam is forecasted to see the highest rainfall of 500mm in the days to come.

On the morning of September, the central city witnessed heavy rain with average rainfall of 30-60 mm, submerging many local streets.
