Luxury cruise brings over 3,800 tourists to Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province on February 26
Passengers on the Spectrum of The Seas who were mainly from the UK, the US, and Australia spent time visiting popular tourist destinations in Vung Tau city, including Ho Phap Pagoda, Tan Hoa Temple, Hoa Long Market, and some traditional craft villages and old houses. The vessel also carries an additional 1,577 crewmembers and staff.
The international cruise ship then headed to Ho Chi Minh City to visit typical landmarks such as the Independence Palace, the Central Post Office, the city theatre, and Ben Thanh Market.
Following these activities, the tourists also visited a factory that specialises in making traditional local dishes such as coconut candy, rice paper, and popcorn; before heading to wine cooking in the Mekong Delta city of My Tho; taking a boat tour to fruit gardens; and enjoying Don Ca Tai Tu southern folk music.
The cruise ship is scheduled to leave Vietnam for Thailand on the evening of February 27.
This was the second tour to Southeast Asia and Vietnam by the Spectrum of the Seas since 2019. This was the seventh international cruise ship and the largest yet this year to have visited Vietnam, bringing hope for a strong recovery for local cruise tourism.
