A large number of migrant workers have returned home from HCM City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An

The Ministry of Health has asked HCM City and the provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An to closely co-operate with other localities to ensure safe travel home for migrant workers.

Localities have to request all the returnees to test Covid-19 on the first day when they come back and then impose quarantine regulations on them, depending on their specific condition.

For instance, people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or recovered from the disease within six months before the return day, have to self-monitor their health at home for seven days and test for Covid-19 on the first day of arrival.

In cases of health problems such as fever, sore throat and cough, they need to inform local medical agencies.

People who have one shot of Covid-19 vaccine have to self-quarantine at home for seven days and self-monitor their health in the next seven days. They have to take two Covid-19 tests on the second and seventh day after arrival.
