The 1-0 win against UAE benefited Vietnam greatly giving it 15.05 points. However, after the draw with Thailand, Vietnam lost 1.99 points. As a result, the country stood at the 94th worldwide and the 14th in Asia in the November FIFA ranking compared to the 97th and 15th the previous month.

This is Vietnam best ranking in 20 years. The Vietnamese men's football team ranked the 84th in the world ranking previously back in 1998.
Meanwhile, Thailand dropped to the 113th from 109th of October.
According to the ranking, Belgium maintained top position, followed by France, Brazil, England and Uruguay.
