
Russian conductor Yury Tkachenko to lead upcoming concert at Ho Guom Opera
The Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined by acclaimed pianist Suah Ye of the Republic of Korea, performing under the baton of Russian conductor Yury Tkachenko.
The program includes Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18, and Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.”
Tkachenko, an honored artist of Russia, is a professor at the Novosibirsk State Conservatory and principal conductor of the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians.
Born in 2000, Ye gained international recognition at 15 when she won first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. She was also the only classical musician named to Forbes Korea’s “30 Under 30” list in 2024. Ye has performed at leading venues worldwide, including the Mariinsky Theatre in Russia and Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in the United States.
