Three children, the youngest aged five, in central Ha Tinh Province are trying to support themselves and their elderly grandmother since the death of their parents, but it is an uphill battle.

Three children living with old grandmother
Pham Trung Duc, 17, Pham Trung Tin, 14, and five-year-old Pham Binh Minh live in Hamlet 2 in Son Long Commune of Huong Son District.
In late 2011, their father died in an accident on the way home from work, and a year later their mother was diagnosed with bone cancer and spleen problems. She could not afford medical treatment and kept working, until her condition deteriorated and she died last Tet.
Duc was studying at grade 10 at Le Huu Trac High School but may have to quit to support his siblings and their grandmother.

“I love my brothers very much. I’m aware that I cannot do as good as my parents for them even though I try my best,” Duc said.
He said his priority was to keep his younger brothers in school. Tin is studying at grade eight at Ho Tung Mau Secondary School and Minh is studying at preschool.
The younger boys do what they can in their spare time to look after their home and earn some money for the table.
If you want to support these children, any donations should be sent through:
