A story published recently by DTiNews about a 3 year old boy falling into boiling water touched the hearts of many readers.
A total of VND30 million ($1,598) has been donated by hundreds of readers that want to help this little boy and his recovery.
On January 26, DTiNews returned the National Burn Hospital to visit Loi and were surprised to see many people present to share, support and hope for his recovery.
One reader, 61, shared his feelings about reading of Loi's struggle, “I burst out crying when I read the story. My son, who is now studying in UK, called and asked me to go to the hospital to support Loi."
Readers queu to help support Loi at the National Burn Hospital
A businessman from Ho Chi Minh City who asked to remain anonymous, told us that, “I didn’t know anything about Loi until my colleagues called and asked me to help him. I was very touched as he is only 3 years old." He encouraged Loi’s mother to continue caring for him and handed her his colleagues donations, totaling VND1 million.

One doctor told us that, “Currently, Loi is conscious, however, he will continue to be in constant pain for awhile.”
