The company will coordinate with the local education department, authorities, and schools to identify qualified recipients. It also calls on businesses, organisations, and individuals to sponsor monthly rides, provide gifts or services, and hold activities at metro stations, including giveaways, promotions, and service experiences.
To provide more payment options and enhance passenger convenience, the HCMC Urban Railway Company 1 has collaborated with Zion JSC to launch cashless payments via the ZaloPay app Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro route, starting June 6.
When entering the metro platform, passengers scan a QR code at the gate, prompting ZaloPay to temporarily deduct VND 19,000 (USD 0.73) to verify their wallet. After exiting, the fare is calculated based on the distance travelled, and any difference is refunded to the passenger’s ZaloPay wallet.
