Midfielder Thanh Luong, Golden Ball Award winner of 2009, decided to auction his shirt, which he wore during his successful football matches to raise funds for burn victims.

Thanh Luong said he often reads Dan Tri online newspaper and he is really impressed with its Compassionate Hearts section. He feels especially sympathetic towards serious burn victims, who are under treatment at Hanoi’s National Burn Hospital.
“I found out a little boy lost both of his hands due to a horrific electric shock, some victims are my age, and some victims are so young. I want to help ease their difficulties,” said Thanh Luong.
Thus, he brought his shirt (which he wore during his successful football matches for the national team in 2009, that helped him win the first Golden Ball Award) with him to his online discussion with Dan Tri readers on May 13.
He wants to auction this shirt off to raise money for burn victims at the National Burn Hospital.
The newspaper will hold the auction within 72 hours hoping that they can raise more money for these victims. The initial value of the auction has been set at VND3 million ($158). Additional bids should be a minimum of VND500,000 ($26.3). The winner of the auction will be the person who places the highest bid as of 3pm on May 16.

3. Dang Tan Hiep, Manager of Hung Hiep Ltd Company at Pho Moi, Quang Thanh Commune, Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City. His auction value is VND7 million ($364.6).
4. Dang Van Thinh, Manager of Phu Thinh Transportation Trading Ltd Company, at Cong Cho, Hop Thanh Commune, Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City. His second auction value is VND9.5 million ($494.8).
5. Nguyen Van Dung, working at Samsung Corporation. His auction value is VND12 million ($625).
6. Hoang Anh, a fan of Thanh Luong, working at Oil and water valves manufacturing Company of Korea. His auction value is VND14 million ($729.2).
7. Thai Binh Quy, working at VnResource.vn Software Company, at 4/3 Luy Ban Bich, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City. His auction value is VND15 million ($781.3).
