DTiNews readers have donated over VND31 million (USD1,500) to a poor woman in northern province of Nam Dinh, struggling to raise three ill children.

Nguyen Thi Sang, of Nghia Lam Commune, has three children, all of whom are ill.
After the story was first published, many generous readers empathised with Sang and donated a total of VND31,290,000.
After the story ran, Sang said, "So many people called to get updates on our situation. It was very encouraging. One woman from Hanoi even sent a parcel full of clothes. My daughter was delighted to have them!"
Sang's community has not been very supportive. In fact her husband blames the illness of the children on her. Members of her own family have even turned their backs on the situation.
When receiving the donation, Sang cried. "I never thought that I would even see this much money at one time. I will use it to get my children the treatment they deserve. I only hope they can be cured," she said.
