Located at a height of 2,000 metres above sea level, Y Ty has a moderate climate most of the year. However, in the winter, the locality is very cold with temperatures below zero degrees centigrade. The snowy weather attracts many tourists to Y Ty every winter.
Thousands of peach trees have grown around houses in Y Ty, A Lu and A Mu Sung in Bat Xat District in Lao Cao in recent years.
Peach blossoms between February and March have become the magnet to lure travellers to Y Ty.
At this time of the year, visitors also have a chance to see the yellow colour of wild cabbage flowers.
Besides peach blossoms, visitors to Phin Ho Village in Y Ty Commune can enjoy local specialities such as grain wine mixed with wild honey, dried buffalo meat and dried pork.
