Nguyen Hue Flower Street is divided into three sections: Unity, Transformation, and Development, symbolising the country's key historical milestones.
The opening was attended by Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, former leaders of the party and state, representatives from Ho Chi Minh City, and diplomats from foreign consulates.
This marks the 22nd year of the event, establishing it as a unique cultural hallmark of Ho Chi Minh City. On the evening of January 27, the street was teeming with visitors.
Many children were brought to the street to soak in the Tet atmosphere.
This mascot is modelled after a king cobra with its head raised high, stretching 50 metres long and over 10 metres high. It captures the grace of a Southern Vietnamese woman adorned with a signature scarf and conical hat.
Le Hoai Anh Ly, a resident, said her family visits Nguyen Hue Flower Street every year.
Two robot models are featured on the street, with LED screens displaying cheerful expressions and New Year greetings.
Around 90 additional snake mascots are arranged along the flower street.
Foreign tourists are fascinated by Nguyen Hue Flower Street.
Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Tet 2025 is scheduled to close at 9:00 pm on February 2.
