The event will have 30 stalls showcasing ornamental plants, bonsai, and a variety of Tet holiday goods. The market will also recreate the traditional Street of Calligraphy Masters and spotlight the district's iconic historical landmarks and tourist attractions, offering visitors opportunities to explore and capture memorable photos.
The flower market will be held from January 15 to 28 at the Cai Rang Floating Market stop on Vo Tanh Street in the Yen Thuan area of Le Binh Ward, Cai Rang District.
According to Nguyen Thai Bao, Vice Chairman of the Cai Rang District People's Committee, the flower market aims to strengthen connections between traders, gardeners, and customers while expanding the range of tourism, sightseeing, and entertainment options for both locals and tourists during the Lunar New Year.
In 2016, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism recognised the Cai Rang Floating Market as a national intangible cultural heritage. The UK-based travel magazine Rough Guide ranked it among the world's ten most impressive markets.
