Quang Ninh sets to welcome around 90,000 cruise tourists in 2025.
From January 1 to December 31, 2025, Quang Ninh will welcome cruise passengers from many countries and territories worldwide, with the majority coming from the United States, England, France, Germany, and China, the port’s management said.
Along with luxury vessels Celebrity Solstice, Mein Schiff 6, and Westerdam, others such as Brilliant Lady, Luminara, and Mediterranea will dock at the Ha Long International Cruise Port for the first time.
The number of visitors arriving in Quang Ninh by sea next year is predicted to increase by 30% compared to this year, they said.
The cruise tour market has seen significant improvement, thanks to strong promotional activities over the past year and favourable new visa policies.
In particular, Quang Ninh is now the only locality in Vietnam which has an international cruise port capable of welcoming many large foreign cruise ships at the same time.
Over the past 10 months, Quang Ninh has greeted over 16.7 million visitors, up 20% year on year, including three million foreigners.
Local authorities have set the target of welcoming 19 million visitors, including 3.5 million foreigners this year.
