The promotion is applied on March 10-16 for flights departing from HCM City, Danang and Phu Quoc.

From April 27, VietJet Air will launch the air route from Phu Quoc and Hong Kong with three weekly flights, becoming the first Vietnamese carrier to operate this route. From March 10, foreigners are allowed to enjoy visa exemptions for stays of less than 30 days on Phu Quoc Island.

VietJet Air will run the Danang-Hong Kong air route from April 28 with the frequency of four weekly direct flights.

The firm will also increase flights from HCM City to Hong Kong to seven per week.

Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific has announced 8,800 zero-cost air tickets for Vietnamese passengers for flights from the country to Hong Kong from March 17 to March 23. This is part of its programme to offer 500,000 free airfares from different countries to Hong Kong.

According to Vietravel, tourists to Hong Kong need to show a negative rapid Covid-19 test result within completed within 24 hours of flying.
