According to the Government's website, PM Nguyen Tan Dung will make his keynote speech at the event held for the first time in Vietnam, while his Deputy PMs Hoang Trung Hai, Nguyen Thien Nhan and Pham Gia Khiem are the main speakers.
At least 450 delegates, including leaders from the regional countries, leading business executives, and scholars have confirmed to attend this year’s forum, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nguyen Phuong Nga said.
The Vietnamese Government asked relevant ministries and Ho Chi Minh City to secure the success of this important event.
Vietnam has prepared well for the WEF on East Asia 2010, said Director and Head of Asia at the World Economic Forum Sushant Rao.
The event takes place when Việt Nam is holding the ASEAN Presidency and stepping up regional and international economic integration.
This is a good chance for Vietnam and its business circle to promote their dynamic images and expand external ties.
The country’s most outstanding achievements, potentials, and particularly its economic attractiveness will be introduced on the occasion.
A seminar on enhancing Vietnam’s competitiveness towards sustainable development is also part of the participants’ plentiful agenda.
