The ammunition was scattered at a depth of 10cm.

MAG have removed the ammunition for disposal.

MAG has deployed eight bomb and mine clearance teams in Quang Tri since June 16. To date, 174 explosive materials found in 350,000 square metres have been detonated.

Quang Tri Province was among the major battlegrounds during the war in the run-up to the Tet Offensive in 1968 and the Easter Offensive in 1972.

Around 391,000 hectares of land, accounting for up to 83.3 percent of the province’s total area, remain still infested by mines and other explosives from the war.
