According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), airports across the country served 12,610 flights with 2.09 million passengers between April 29 and May 4, up 25 percent from the same period last year.
During that time, local airports handled 23,360 tonnes of cargo, up 18.57 percent on-year.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport alone recorded around 4,320 flights, 709,600 passengers, and 8,400 tonnes of cargo, representing a rise of 14.3 percent, 19.54 percent, and 0.73 percent on-year, respectively.
Noi Bai International Airport saw 3,480 flights with 578,480 passengers, up 24.62 percent and 29.67 percent on-year respectively.
Danang International Airport handled 1,670 flights with 271,170 passengers, marking year-on-year increases of 23.16 percent and 26.68 percent respectively.
From April 29 to May 4, Vietnamese airlines carried 986,800 passengers and 6,009 tonnes of cargo, while international airlines carried 330,740 passengers and 2,890 tonnes of cargo.
