Vietnamese students have won three medals at the 48th International Chemistry Olympiad 2016, including two gold medals, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.
The Vietnamese team has four members and three among those winning the medals at the contest. The two gold medals belong to Dinh Quang Hieu from High School for Gifted Students in Hanoi University of Science and Nguyen Khanh Duy from Lam Son High School in Thanh Hoa Province.

The 48th International Chemistry Olympiad was held in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia of Gruzia, attracting the participation of 280 students from 75 countries.
China tops the contest with four gold medals. It was followed by Russia, Rumania, South Korea, and Taiwan with three medals. Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, India and Iran each win two gold medals.
Vietnam recently won two gold medals and a gold at the International Physics Olympiad 2016 and the International Mathematical Olympiad 2016 respectively.
