The Vietnam-Ukraine defence cooperation has been effectively carried out in various fields, contributing to promoting the friendly relationship between the two countries and armies to a new height, said Lt. Gen. Nguyen Song Phi.
Lt. Gen. Phi, who is Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army made the statement while receiving visiting Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economy Valerii Teziyovych Pyatnytskyi in Hanoi on Dec. 24.
The Vietnamese army and people always attach importance to developing the friendly cooperation with the Ukrainian army and people, said Lt. Gen. Phi.
Pyatnytskyi, who is head of the Ukrainian Sub-committee of the Vietnam-Ukraine Inter-Governmental Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, informed Lt. Gen. Phi of the results of the committee’s 11th session.
He said that the delegation’s working visit is a good opportunity for the committee to share experiences and seek cooperation opportunities to boost the two countries’ ties.
