According to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the National Day holiday for September 2 will also include another day either right before or after, depending on the government’s decision every year.
This year, Vietnam will have two official days off for the National Day on September 2-3 or Thursday and Friday. With the weekend, this would mean four consecutive days off.
Under the Labour Code, people who work during holidays would enjoy a 300% payment compared to normal.
Last year, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs proposed the selection of September 3 as the second official day-off for the National Holiday.
