Vietnam took a flag to feature its host of the fifth ASIAN Beach Games (ABG 5) at the closing ceremony of the ABG 4 in Saphan Hin Park, Phuket, Thailand on November 23.
ABG 5 is scheduled to take place in the central cities of Da Nang and Nha Trang city from September 24 to October 3, 2016 with the participation of 4,000 athletes and coaches from 45 countries and territories.
At the event, athletes will also seek a berth in the world’s first beach games, which would be held in Barcelona (Spain) or Cannes (France) in 2017.
In ABG 4, Vietnam ranked 5th in the medal tally with eight gold, 12 silver and 20 bronze medals
