Vietnam leaps 18 spots in Enabling Trade Index rankings

Vietnam jumped 18 spots from 89th in 2009 to the 71st out of 125 economies in the Enabling Trade Index 2010 rankings released by the World Economic Forum.

Nhan Dan – Vietnam jumped 18 spots from 89th in 2009 to the 71st out of 125 economies in the Enabling Trade Index 2010 rankings released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on May 3.

The ranking of the Enabling Trade Index is based on criteria: market access, border management, customs procedures, transportation service, infrastructure, communications and business environment.

Beside Singapore that has continued taking the lead in the index with 6.06 points, Vietnam (3.96 points) is the only country in the remaining six ASEAN member countries having moved to a higher place in the index rankings.
